We use machine learning and deep learning techniques in manipulation, vision, speech, navigation of our robots and other autonomous vehicles.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY
Activities in this lab include research and development of autonomous vehicles, including autonomous cars and @home robots, to participate in national and international competitions and eventually commercialize them.
Our objective in Mechanics includes designing our robot’s appearance, the suspension is performed along with control systems.
The electronics team works on the design, manufacture and development of motor driver boards, power management and embedded systems.
Commercialization of products is an integral part of the research and product development activities of this laboratory.

MRL@Home team, under the supervision of Qazvin Azad University (QIAU), is one of the research groups of the Mechatronics Research Laboratory (MRL), dedicated to working in the field of @Home robots. MRL is present in RoboCup different leagues since 2002. We have been an active participant of RoboCup OSL since 2011.
MRL@Home team is a dynamic environment for learning in order to make student able for gaining knowledge in the fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, mechanics and control. Enthusiastic students, especially Bachelor and Masters students are given facilities and opportunity to start learning using open platform robot. During a 2-3 year program of the laboratory they are able to gain required knowledge to work as a team, conduct research on different topics. All these are encourage based on a self-oriented paradigm. After this time they are ready to carry-on either in the research segment or enter the industry based on their preference.
Our main goal is to have an environment suitable for all students. We want to be able to learn by doing/experimenting. Since robocup competitions are held in an international scale, it is a good platform as a short-term target for the students to learn on this bed. They involve in team work and research projects, coding, and etc.
